Bellambi SLSC was formed on the 23rd January 1909 and is proud to be able to provide volunteers to patrol the beach on weekends and public holidays during the summer months. Bellambi’s patrolling area stretches from Dorrigo Avenue to the North of the surf club to East Corrimal South of Bellambi Point.
Bellambi SLSC is a family ordinated club which caters for all ages starting from U5’s right through to the senior years. At Bellambi SLSC we can provide training for a variety of educational awards including the Bronze Medallion or IRB Crewman’s award just to name a few. If surf sports competition is of interest to you we have beach and water specific coaches available to help mentor you throughout the season as well as a well maintained gym and other equipment for member use.
At Bellambi we are fortunate to be able to facilitate some rewarding community education programs including ‘Ride the Wave’ which is a program that encourages children with additional needs to partake in surf club orientated activities in a safe and positive environment and ‘Project 291’ which provides an opportunity for local children to learn how to be safe at the beach which includes; learning to read the surf, sun safety and learning how to swim, the latter program has received state and national recognition which is something our small club is very proud of.
