How to become an Official

In order to be an official, you must first be a member of a surf lifesaving club and be 16 years of age. If you would like to become an accredited Level 1 official, please contact Illawarra Branch on    (02) 4228 3884 to find out when the next Level 1 Officials Course is taking place.

Re-Licensing

SLS NSW send out re -licensing forms to officials. Once you receive these, you complete and return with copy of your Officials log book to the Branch office. Endorsement by Branch will be completed by Keith Caldwell and then your re-licensing application will be forwarded to SLSNSW.

Active Membership for Illawarra Branch Officials – BOSS

Each year Illawarra Officials are asked to indicate which Illawarra carnivals you would like to Officiate at. Please let our Branch Office know your availability.

SLSA Coaching Manual

Copies of the SLSA Coaching Manual are available to be purchased for $25 (incl. GST, plus postage) and can be paid for either by cheque or credit card. To order a copy of the coaching manual please contact SLSA on (02) 9300 4000.
