Austinmer Surf Life Saving Club was founded in 1909 and continues today providing a safe, family friendly beach for both locals and visitors alike to enjoy.

Bellambi SLSC was formed on the 23rd January 1909 and is proud to be able to provide volunteers to patrol the beach on weekends and public holidays during the summer months.

As its name would suggest, the township of Coalcliff was originally founded to exploit the area’s abundant and valuable coal resources, whose seams are still visible in the escarpment cliffs.
